Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation’s grant programs for organizations strengthen the region’s presenter network, give communities access to high quality artistic experiences, build audiences, and provide opportunities for greater understanding and appreciation of the arts. ArtsCONNECT provides funding for mid-Atlantic-based presenters working collaboratively to engage a performing artist or ensemble. The program aims to develop and deepen relationships among the region’s presenters, helping build a more sustainable touring environment for artists and ensembles. A competitive, peer-panel-reviewed program, ArtsCONNECT supports tours developed by consortia of at least three presenters from a minimum two different states and jurisdictions served by MAAF. ArtsCONNECT is made possible through support from the National Endowment for the Arts’ Regional Touring Program. Online Application To access the online eGRANT application, click the link below and select the 2018-2019 ArtsCONNECT application once logged in. Application Webinars MAAF will be offering three free webinars to assist potential applicants in understanding the ArtsCONNECT program and filling out the online application. Funding Acknowledgement and Crediting Acknowledgement and Crediting requirements were included as Exhibit A of the Grant Award Agreement. Grantees must clearly acknowledge support from Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation through use of both the credit language and logo as outlined below. Use of the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation logo does not replace the credit language.
Copies of the required crediting materials must be submitted as part of the final report. The following statement and the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation logo MUST appear in all programs, websites and press releases produced by the funded organization or its agents in relation to the funded project. The annual roster features performing ensembles that have completed a project funded through the French-American Jazz Exchange program. For the artists of the French-American Jazz Exchange, the tours extend the life of their projects by providing performance opportunities that develop new audiences and expand impact.
Artists are selected through a staff curated process led by MAAF Program Officer, Performing Arts, with input from mid-Atlantic presenters through an annual survey. The FAJE Tours roster is created to engage broad regional participation and promote access to unique and powerful artistic collaborations and performances. Presenters in the mid-Atlantic region are eligible to receive support toward artist fees and travel expenses related to scheduled engagements. MAAF and FACE are excited to announce that an expanded version of FAJE Tours, FAJE On Tour will launch in 2018. FAJE On Tour will feature an expanded roster of recently completed FAJE creative projects and will provide fee support grants to eligible presenters nationwide.
